Cathy Brown will guide you in this deeply relaxing workshop, where we will combine one hour of yin yoga postures on the mat followed by taking those poses into the hammock for a unique experience.
Yin Yoga emphasizes deep stretches that open and re-align the connective tissues of the body. The poses are approached in a passive manner to allow the body to soften, relax, and release in its own time. Poses are held for 3-5 minutes each, cultivating a peaceful and meditative experience through stillness and self-reflection. Practicing these poses with the soft support of the Aerial swing takes this meditative experience to a whole new level, and creates a more nurturing environment for the body to respond to.
The practice will conclude with a guided relaxation in “cocoon” pose, a restorative posture in which the student is enveloped by the swing with the feet elevated.
$35/ person ($40 after 5/24)
- No prior Aerial, acrobatic, or yoga experience necessary.
- Due to the limited class size and tendency for this workshop to fill up with a wait list, payment in full is required to make a reservation. Cancelations will require 72 hours notice in order to receive a refund so that we can contact someone who is on the wait list. Cancelations with less than 72 hours notice and no shows will not receive a refund for the workshop, but can gift their spot to another person if they wish.
