Madhu returns to Lewes on Saturday, March 9!
He will lead a two hour workshop, starting with one hour of Bhakti flow, followed by one hour of Kirtan.
Bhakti flow is a dynamic physical practice integrating the teachings of Bhakti yoga (mediations yoga of the heart) and a strengthening, rejuvenation flow. We will explore the ancient yoga teachings and meditation practices accompanied by an all levels class.
Kirtan is an ancient form of mantra meditation, a component of bhakti-yoga, which has the power to open and purify the heart. This chanting, accompanied by musical instruments and rhythmic drumming, brings the audience to it’s feet in the joy of singing, clapping and dancing with pure devotion. In it’s heartfelt expression, kirtan can induce profound states of meditation, bliss and ecstasy.
Madhu Das is a 500 hour RYT who travels the world teaching Yoga asana and Bhakti yoga. His style of teaching the ancient systems of yoga simultaneously – by purifying the mind, inner body, and physical body – makes his class unique and therapeutic in a wholesome way.
$30 per person. Space is limited, pre-registration required.
Bring a yoga mat, water and an open heart.
