Mindfulness (noun): Being aware of and controlling your experience.
Stress and pain are nearly unavoidable in our daily lives. They are part of the human condition, especially during this time. The key to maintaining balance is responding to stress – not with frustration and self criticism – but with mindful, nonjudgemental awareness of our bodies and minds.
We are offering this mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) program with weekly sessions for 6 weeks. It is a clinically proven, meditation based program for stress management, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, cancer and other health issues.
The focus is on the present moment in order to permanently change the way you handle stress. As we move through the weeks, you’ll learn how to replace stress promoting habits with mindful ones – a skill that will last a lifetime.
No prior yoga or meditation experience is necessary to attend.
Open to members and non-members, and great for everyone!
These six classes will be held virtually via Zoom for 60 minutes at 11am on Thursdays, April 16th through May 21st. Upon signing up, you will receive an email with a link to attend the class. If you don’t have Zoom, you will be instructed on how to download it in the email.
