A Bikram inspired yoga practice
Commonly known as 26&2 or Hot Yoga, the Bikram series is a Hatha style fixed sequence. Consisting of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, class is practiced in a heated humid room. This slow moving series with concentrated focus on the breath and alignment repeats most poses twice allowing the practitioner to build balance between strength and flexibility. With a combination of standing and floor poses this class provides a wide range to work the body inside and out.
Don’t let the temperature scare you! Since this is an intro workshop, we will NOT make it crazy hot. The room will be heated to 75-80° (which is the same as our Vinyasa 2 and Hatha 2 classes). Since Bikram is a hatha style class, it can be practiced in a non heated room as well, so there is also an option to join us Virtually (via Zoom) from your home.
This Bikram inspired practice will be a beginners approach to the breath work, postures and alignment. Experience what this series has to offer you.
Choose to participate IRL or Virtually:
- Option 1 – IRL (In Real Life!) at dimitraYOGA, Lewes, located at 17437 Ocean One Plaza, Suite 1.
- Option 2 – Virtual via Zoom. In this case, a link will be sent to your email about 30 minutes before the workshop begins. You will be able to see and hear the instructor, but you will not be able to talk to her during the class. *If this day/ time doesn’t work into your schedule, you can still participate because everyone who signs up for the virtual option will receive a recording of the session, allowing you to watch it when you have time later that day or the next!
