Chakras, or the “Wheels of Life,” are energy centers of the body.
We have seven main chakras, which relate to everything from our feelings of safety and security, to our sexuality and creativity, inner drive, ability to give and receive unconditional love, speak our mind, follow our intuition, and connect with a force greater than ourselves. Working with the chakra system can help us foster a deeper relationship with the self and illuminate areas of strength and weakness not just in the physical body but our mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies as well.
During this workshop, we will practice specific yoga postures that are beneficial for the chakras in combination with positive affirmations, meditation and breathing exercises.
- Open to members + non-members.
- No yoga experience necessary.
Props needed:
- 2 blocks
- 1 blanket
- 1 strap
- wall
- eye bag (or small towel)
Choose to participate IRL or Virtually:
- Option 1 – IRL (In Real Life!) at dimitraYOGA, Lewes, located at 17437 Ocean One Plaza, Suite 1.
- Option 2 – Virtual via Zoom. In this case, a link will be sent to your email about 30 minutes before class begins each week. You will be able to see and hear our instructor but you will not be able to talk to them during the class. *If this day/ time doesn’t work into your schedule, you can still participate because everyone who signs up for the virtual option will receive a recording of the class, so you can watch it when you have time that day or the next!
