Our hips store a lot of tension and if you sit at a desk for work, chances are you probably have tight hips.
Join us for a special two hour workshop to focus on HIP FLEXORS: Psoas Major and Minor + Iliacus
Why is hip mobility important?
When these muscles become tight, they become weak, which negatively affects our posture and stability in the spine. Stretching these muscles helps to:
- relieve tension
- improve range of motion
- build strength
- improve circulation
- avoid hip and back pain
Learn how to use SMFR (self myofascial release) to help stimulate the stretch reflex in these muscles and lengthen connective tissue + how to incorporate hip opener poses into your yoga routine, this month focusing on Hip Flexors (Psoas Major and Minor + Iliacus).
> All levels welcome!
> Open to members and non-members.
Props needed:
- Yoga mat
- 1 blanket
- 2 blocks
- 1 MFR ball (or a tennis ball)
- 1 Centre ball
If you attend IRL and don’t have these, you can borrow ours at the studio. Virtual participants will need to have these items ready for the workshop. (If you need any of these, please contact us. We sell them at the studio and you can pick them up after a class at the studio.)
